DIY Friday: Wonder Woman iPhone Wristlet

Whenever I’m in a store, I’m always keeping an eye out for existing items that can be stylishly geeked up. Target is currently stocking these wonderfully colorful metallic PVC purses, bags and iPhone wristlet cases by Xhilaration.

I was immediately drawn to these, especially the iPhone cases, and could see an abundant amount of DIY possibilities with them. My local Target only had the blue iPhone case in stock, which wasn’t a problem for me, as I knew something fun and simple I could do to geek it up!

DIY Friday: No-Sew Star Trek Headband

Last week when I was at the Star Trek convention in Vegas, I was playing around figuring out a Star Trek headband when, unknowingly to me, my partner Lindz was whipping up a Star Wars headband for last Friday’s DIY!

Clearly great minds think alike. Even better, Lindz showed one way to do a no-sew headband, and today I’m illustrating another way you can do a no-sew headband.

DIY Friday: Decoupage Wallet

I’m always rummaging around the discounted/clearance section of stores like Target to see what great items might be found that would be great to use for crafts. I picked up these wallets a few weeks ago knowing they’d be great for a future decoupage project, and finally got around to doing something with them this week.

You could decoupage multiple, smaller images onto these wallets for more of a collage look, but they were a perfect size to allow for a single, large image to be decoupaged onto them, so it’s almost like having a mini comic book or art print for a wallet!
