If you’re looking for that perfect blend of vintage chic silhouette with that classy geek flair, look no further than Australian fashion label Seams Nostalgic! Their newly released line, Alter Ego Geeky Couture, pairs vintage style with geek inspiration in the form of skirts that are sure to please DC and Marvel fans alike.
Australia is home to not one, but two, awesome clothing companies ready to dress the geeks of the world! Launched in 2012, Living Dead Clothing is one of the many companies to have started in their wake, making their unique mark on the spandex clothing world with their design motif of chibi and zombiefied character artwork. Featuring mashups of fandoms, from Disney Princesses dressed as the Doctors to Batman characters as kitties, their designs and artwork set them, and your wardrobe, apart!

Following up last week’s post highlighting our favorite licensed geek apparel available at Forever 21, today we’re sharing our favorite geeky jewelry that can also be had there. Ranging from licensed to conveniently themed jewelry, you’re sure to find something to add that finishing touch to your geek chic look, at a great price!
I definitely love our readers since they love linking us to new geeky release or items around the web. So imagine my pure glee when we were linked to this new collection from Forever 21. In case it’s not apparent at this point, we maaaaay have a thing for Batman related apparel and items around here (examples one, two, and three).
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve been stalking and awaiting the new collection from Iron Fist Ladies since last October! Why? Because the new line includes a sexy and fun, pin-up style print featuring some familiar looking femme fatales, boldly labeled “Super Bitches”.
I was madly in love the second I saw samples of the “Super Bitches” print, and am thrilled to see all the various pieces in the new line that feature this print. It’s a perfect mashup of geeky, sexy style, and any piece from the collection using this print would be a great addition to a geek chic gal’s wardrobe!
While we focus on American companies for the majority of our geeky goods, companies overseas continue to take the cake in producing some of the most incredible geek chic items to date. First there was the French footwear company Andre that produced a licensed line of fabulous Wonder Woman and Catwoman designed shoes. Now Brazilian apparel company Thais Gusmão has collaborated with DC Comics on a line of clothing and accessories that is unlike anything the geek fashion world has ever seen.
While shoes, wallets, jewelry, etc. are the most common types of items to decoupage, you can pretty much decoupage anything you set your mind to. For this DIY I set my sights on decoupaging a home decor item, a decorative plate charger.
You’ve probably seen them on dinner tables before, but might not have known what they were called. They’re large, purely decorative, plates used to dress up a table for special events, parties, holidays, etc. And they are a perfect way to geek up the dinner table in a subtle but fun way.
