While we love to create various DIY projects, sometimes it’s great to look at what others are making when it comes to all things geek chic. I think, in part due to my desire to spring clean, I’ve been looking for ways to update my own home decor, so I gathered some great Etsy inspiration. Being that I’m big into retro gaming, I used that as my jumping off point, and here’s what I found!
Stunning Style: Look #351
I’m not a gamer, but boy do I love Tetris. This week’s look pays homage to a game from the good old days that is still played and loved by millions!
The bold, fun colors of the Tetris blocks allows for easy accessorizing with colorful jewelry, shoes or additional clothing to accent one or more of the block colors. Be super geeky and chic with this look and enjoy a stylish night out on the town.
Have a Super Summer Entertaining with these Items from Target4
Now that we’re approaching the end of May, summer is right around the corner which means it’s time for outdoor entertaining! Luckily, I found some great items while at Target that would be perfect for a superhero themed BBQ.
This serving tray was the first thing I spotted and knew I had to have.
Stunning Style: Look #341
I mentioned in this post a great trend in geeky tunic dresses, and with this dress now available from Thinkgeek, it’s the perfect opportunity to show off today’s Stunning Style.
Unleash your villainous side decked out in this Harley Quinn dress, and pair it with some simple, yet bold accessories.
Geek Chic Finds of the Week
With both summer movie blockbusters and convention season in full swing, it’s always fun to update your wardrobe with new items to flaunt your geek. Here’s are just a few items that we spotted around the web.
Stylish DC & Gamer Clutch Wallets and Star Wars Card Holders1
I love geek-themed clutch wallets and business card holders because they’re a small and simple way to express your geeky self if you don’t want to express it in a larger fashion like through a purse or an entire outfit.
Check out some of these incredibly stylish, chic, and fun geek-themed clutches and wallets from the likes of Kotobukiya, Think Geek, DC Comics, and Nintendo!
Stunning Style: Look #332
While fandoms like Star Wars, Marvel and DC are fairly abundant in their styling options, we’ve only just begun with everyone’s beloved Time Lord and his big blue box. It’s only in recent years thanks to companies like Black Milk, Her Universe, and Harlequin Goldsmiths that chic Doctor Who fashion is even a possibility!
This week’s look is all about showing off your Gallifreyan side, in true bold, geeky style.

DIY Friday: Thermoplastic Cuff Bracelet4
Sometimes as costumers, we often will find inspiration for a DIY from stuff we may have lying around from costume projects. As I was gearing up for Wondercon, I came up with an idea for a fun bracelet using a thermoplastic called Wonderflex, and this is what I came up with!
