The #NERDVEMBER fun isn’t quite over yet! We wanted to devote a separate post to some of our favorite looks some of you created, as well as announce some bonus winners!
We’re excited to be introducing a new feature to Set to Stunning this year – Interviews! And who better to start off with than the titan of fashionable fandom spandex, Black Milk!
There are LOADS of exciting info we’re psyched to share with you, as if you couldn’t already guess from the above image, so read on already!
Black Milk’s Ammo releases may only contain a few pieces (like the highly desired Bad Kitty gear), but it’s just enough – they know just where to aim to get your attention! After launching their main Batman collection at the beginning of February, they teased at another release of more DC items to come, hence Heroes Ammo. While only containing a mere 4 DC licensed pieces, Black Milk proved why they continue to be a beloved and major guiding force in geek/pop culture clothing. One word: Watchmen.
Spencer’s, what I like to think of as the adult, more novelty-driven, version of Hot Topic, may be a shop you overlook, but these days it’s brimming with some really choice geek wares. I’m especially loving their wallet and clutch selections!
There were so many things to highlight that I’ve split this up into two posts today, one focusing on accessories, and the other on clothing – so be sure to check out the other post a little later.
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, so we’ve compiled some gift guides featuring some of our favorite items that we think are sure to please that special geek in your life. And, for the first time ever, we’re doing a feature for the guys! While this is a blog by, about, and for geek chic gals, we thought it’d be nice to do a gift guide focusing on products that geek guys would like to receive.

Following up last week’s post highlighting our favorite licensed geek apparel available at Forever 21, today we’re sharing our favorite geeky jewelry that can also be had there. Ranging from licensed to conveniently themed jewelry, you’re sure to find something to add that finishing touch to your geek chic look, at a great price!
Alongside Hot Topic, Forever 21 and Wet Seal are two of the top companies where you can find fun and stylish superhero apparel to add to your wardrobe. While both companies have an abundance of licensed Marvel apparel, Forever 21 gets bonus points for also carrying licensed DC Comics apparel! Be sure to check out your local Forever 21 store, especially for Batman gear, as the website doesn’t always list all of the gear to be found in stores.

Offering sophisticated and chic sterling silver jewelry licensed from DC Comics and Star Trek, Australian jewelry company Guild Jewellery Design is one of the few companies around offering stylishly geeky jewelry that wont break the bank.
With average prices ranging from $30-80 (though those gorgeous charm bracelets will set you back between $140 and $275), their rings, earrings, necklaces, etc., are a perfect happy medium in quality, price, and style compared to what you’ll get from Hot Topic and nOir Jewelry.
