Earlier this year, Hot Topic surprised us with releasing their first designer fashion line inspired by the film Maleficent. Luckily, it wasn’t was their last. This week they released a new collection inspired by the upcoming film The Book of Life. In contrast with the last collection which primarily featured black, this one is filled with bright and colorful skirts, jewelery, and more.
Australia is home to not one, but two, awesome clothing companies ready to dress the geeks of the world! Launched in 2012, Living Dead Clothing is one of the many companies to have started in their wake, making their unique mark on the spandex clothing world with their design motif of chibi and zombiefied character artwork. Featuring mashups of fandoms, from Disney Princesses dressed as the Doctors to Batman characters as kitties, their designs and artwork set them, and your wardrobe, apart!
In another couple of hours, it will be January 22nd over in England, and for countries like theirs where they write dates with the day first, then month, that means it’s 22.1 – as in 221B, Sherlock Holmes Day! In celebration of this, Gold Bubble Clothing is offering another limited release of the two Sherlock-inspired pieces they had available when they first launched, PLUS two never before available pieces!

A few years ago, you’d be lucky if you could find a geek-themed shirt in a woman’s style t-shirt. Now we’ve got all sorts of dresses, skirts, leggings, and more to choose from this holiday season! We’ve picked out some of our top favs that are sure to start, or add to, a chic geek girl’s wardrobe.
A fun trend I’ve seen popping up are tunic tanks or tank dresses that also have a little geek flair along with them. Halloween has definitely helped to inspire this look for a quick costume, but I also think that a lot of these designs would look great with some chic layering and accessories. Here are some of my favorite looks from around the web.
Now it’s no secret that we love Black Milk Clothing here on Set to Stunning, but with designs like these, honestly, what’s not to love?

But even if that name is new to you for some reason, rest assured, you’ve seen their work – seen or heard people talk about those amazing Artoo and Threepio swimsuits? Yeah, that’s them.
Hopefully you enjoyed some of the looks I found at Celebration VI! I loved the variety. I knew Dragon*con would be the ultimate goldmine though, of geek chic DIY ensembles, and it certainly did not disappoint.
I’m finally back from my back to back adventure attending Star Wars Celebration VI and Dragon*con! I was thrilled with the amount of stunning looks I saw girls wearing at these cons, and can’t wait to share them all with you.
First up this week, the looks of Celebration VI!
