Having lived by the coasts most of my life, Memorial Day weekend always signifies the start of summer. Even better, it means I get to start buying cute swimwear. I scoured the internet to find the best licensed and handmade geek chic swimwear out there.

First comes this collection of DC comic swimsuits from Super Hero Stuff. They carry bikinis, monokinis, and board shorts featuring Super Girl, Wonder Woman, and Batman.

Next, Amazon carries a large selection of Hello Kitty swimwear for both women and juniors. I love the fact that the “polka dots” are actually Hello Kitty faces.

If you’re looking for something with a bit more bite, these zombie bikinis from Iron Fist Clothing (also carried at Hot Topic) definitely fit the bill. You can even buy matching shoes!

I found these hand painted swimsuits by Stitch3d on etsy. The shop carries both Zelda and Hunger Games bikinis, and has a great assortment of regular clothes too.

Spencer’s carries a few bikini tops that feature different characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Domo Kun

While not a swimsuit, we wouldn’t be doing this post justice if we didn’t mention these amazing Star Trek themed towels that Think Geek has just released. They’re perfect for lounging on either by the pool or on the beach.

Lastly, I can’t talk about swimsuits and not mention Black Milk. While they don’t have a lot of swimsuits right now, they do have this great Retro Gamer one piece that I also happen to own. You better act quick though, these are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re not coming back!

Anyone looking forward to summer as much as I am? For me it means BBQs, hanging with friends, and best of all, comic conventions!
