Lindz and I love Pinterest, and (hint hint) you can find Set to Stunning on there! Pinterest is a great source for craft ideas, because pretty much any DIY you find on there can be tweaked to be a geeky DIY!

Nightwing Shredded LogoI pinned this shredded shirt DIY and couldn’t wait to put a geek twist on it. While it lacked detailed instructions, the step-by-step images made it clear what needed to be done. I’ve provided instructions in this DIY to hopefully make each step pretty clear.

DIY Friday: Fabric Wrapped Flip Flops

This week’s DIY might be our simplest yet! These fabric wrappped flip flops are a simple way to add a bit of geeky fun to any outfit, and to salvage or spice up an old pair of sandals.

The finished look allows them to be cute and bold, yet rather subtle on the geek side of things, unless someone has a keen eye to notice what’s actually on the fabric.

While shoes, wallets, jewelry, etc. are the most common types of items to decoupage, you can pretty much decoupage anything you set your mind to. For this DIY I set my sights on decoupaging a home decor item, a decorative plate charger.

You’ve probably seen them on dinner tables before, but might not have known what they were called. They’re large, purely decorative, plates used to dress up a table for special events, parties, holidays, etc. And they are a perfect way to geek up the dinner table in a subtle but fun way.
