New company Gold Bubble Clothing has been teasing the launch of their brand since they debuted a few of their pieces at Comikaze Expo earlier this month. Thankfully the wait is over for those loving their Alphonse Mucha and Camilla d’Errico printed pieces, and they’ll be officially launching tomorrow, Black Friday, at 10 AM PST!
But, we’re obviously a geek chic style blog, and while artist Camilla d’Errico is a familiar face at cons and a comic book artist, there’s obviously more than meets the eye with Gold Bubble Clothing when it comes to geek chic wear…
One benefit to living in Southern California is our proximity to Disney. Which means, whenever we’re in the area, we love checking out Downtown Disney to see what new items they have in the stores.

In addition to attending Dragon*Con, I also had the pleasure of attending a good friend’s wedding. Having just celebrated my own first anniversary, I thought it might be fun to look at ways you can add some geek into your celebration. Whether it’s a full on Star Wars themed wedding, or wanting to incorporate some geeky touches to your commitment ceremony, there are lots of options on how you can insert some of what you love into your own day of love.
I’ve had a pretty busy few weeks, and one of the reasons was I flew out to Atlanta to attend Dragon*Con. While I consider this to be one of the best cons for cosplay, it definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to geeky fashion and merchandise. Here is just a sampling of what was spotted at the con.
One of the main benefits of geek culture getting lapped up by the mainstream is that we see more and more unique or unusual products coming to the market that would otherwise not cater to geek interests. Products, like perfumes!
While there are far more colognes than perfumes offered to geeks (because catering to geek GIRLS is still a market that is not being properly catered to), the simple fact that there are ANY scents themed for geeks is incredibly promising.
