After the Spider-man outfit I featured in this post, this look has got to be my favorite. I wanted to capture my love of the X-men into one look that was centered around my Phoenix top.
Featuring boots, a DIY top, and some great accessories, this X-men inspired look is perfect for Fall!
Fall is just around the corner, though for Lindz and me, it will be continue to be summer for quite some time here in sunny So Cal! But, in the future we hope to include more colder weather appropriate styles since we forget that the rest of the country/world experiences temperatures other than hot, and really hot.
This week’s Stunning Style is a pants and jacket combo, which works great for colder weather, or even just a night on the town.
If you were near the convention center in LA this weekend, you may have noticed a large comic convention taking place, Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo. Despite the long lines and extreme heat, we did manage to spy some great geek chic outfits and merchandise around the exhibit hall.
It’s no secret that we love the jewelry from 1928 Jewelry’s Marvel line. Both Scruffy and I have featured, and even worn, many of their pieces seen here, here, and here. I wanted to create an outfit that would be great for going out. I pieced it together with some basic items and then added the geeky flair with accessories and a cute crop top.
Since we posted about various bags on Monday, I figured having a bag theme for Friday’s DIY would be the perfect way to wrap things up this week. I’ve been seeing a lot of ruffled bags lately, so I figured why not transform a regular tote into something a little more frilly and geeky?

Even though it’s been a few years since I’ve been in school, I still love back to school sales since that often means awesome clothes or home items for great prices! Luckily for me, a friend of mine contacted me to let me know about a sale on graphic tees going on at Kohl’s. I decided to go check it out and see what I could find.
When I walked over toward the graphic tee section, I was immediately greeted by this display. I love how they paired this superman tee with a fitted jacket and red pants.
While a lot of our focus is often fashion based, we do, from time to time, sneak in some items geared at sprucing up your home. With many stores carrying college items, I’ve gotten a slight case of nesting. (Speaking of, although not geeky, I picked up these pillows from Target and LOVE THEM!) So on that note, I wanted to write a post that’s geared at making your home a little more geek chic!
