One of the quickest and easiest ways to refresh your look is through accessories, and Hot Topic is often my go to when I’m looking to nab a few things at a very reasonable price. Given that they update their inventory often, it’s usually easy to find something that’s new and maybe a bit different. Here are just some of the things I’ve rounded up from their current selection.
It seems that more and more, we’re seeing high end fashion influenced by geek culture. Whether it’s jewelry, or shoes, the fashion industry is definitely looking to geeks for their next big idea. Such is the case with the NET-A-PORTER Capitol Couture line by Catching Fire’s costume designer Trish Summerville.

New company Gold Bubble Clothing has been teasing the launch of their brand since they debuted a few of their pieces at Comikaze Expo earlier this month. Thankfully the wait is over for those loving their Alphonse Mucha and Camilla d’Errico printed pieces, and they’ll be officially launching tomorrow, Black Friday, at 10 AM PST!

As many of you know, this past Saturday marked the 50th anniversary of our favorite Doctor. With that came the special anniversary episode Day of the Doctor. Many of you viewed it Saturday simultaneously with other countries, or viewed it later through other means. However, if you haven’t seen the episode, you may want to turn away now since today’s post maybe have spoilers.
Her Universe already has some great Doctor who items, some of which will be available soon! So it’s no surprise that they also have items from the new episode. To see more, follow the cut!
One benefit to living in Southern California is our proximity to Disney. Which means, whenever we’re in the area, we love checking out Downtown Disney to see what new items they have in the stores.
With just two more days until the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire some of you might looking for something to wear (especially if you’re participating in #nerdvember!). Covergirl already has you covered for make-up, and now Hot Topic has you covered for jewelry and tops.
As you might know, we’re big fans of 1928 Jewelry’s Marvel pieces around these parts as seen here, and here. Which is why, when I talked to them at Comikaze, I was extremely sad to hear they would not be renewing their Marvel license after the end of this year. Perhaps the only good to come out of this news is they’re now offering their pieces at 50% discount!
