On Monday morning I was checking my email and received a Sephora Beauty Insider message. Normally, I just glance quickly at the contents and then delete them. However, this time, I noticed a new holiday collection that really caught my eye, the Cinderella Collection by Sephora. Full of colorful palettes, sweet fragrances, and lush lipsticks, this collection is enough to turn anyone into a princess.
Some outfits come together naturally with items already on hand, and others are inspired by great accessories or items you find. That was totally the case with this outfit. I found this great triforce cuff on etsy and just had to put together a Zelda inspired look.
Today’s outfit is more of casual, warm weather look with shorts, a fashionable top, and some great accessories.
When posting our Stunning Style outfits, often I find that some of the items we’ve posted are often no longer available. That being the case, I wanted to post a collection of my recent finds both in store and online so that you have the opportunity to grab things while they’re still around. If you were near the convention center in LA this weekend, you may have noticed a large comic convention taking place, Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo. Despite the long lines and extreme heat, we did manage to spy some great geek chic outfits and merchandise around the exhibit hall.
It’s no secret that we love the jewelry from 1928 Jewelry’s Marvel line. Both Scruffy and I have featured, and even worn, many of their pieces seen here, here, and here. I wanted to create an outfit that would be great for going out. I pieced it together with some basic items and then added the geeky flair with accessories and a cute crop top.
Hi all! Since Scruffy is still at Dragon*con, and I only just back from PAX, we decided to take it easy today. Since we posted about various bags on Monday, I figured having a bag theme for Friday’s DIY would be the perfect way to wrap things up this week. I’ve been seeing a lot of ruffled bags lately, so I figured why not transform a regular tote into something a little more frilly and geeky?
Today’s DIY is easy but pretty time consuming. I recommend this as a weekend project, or week long project if you work full time or go to school full time. Without further ado, I give you the Tetris pillow cover!
Next week I’m headed to PAX Prime for the first time and I’m already contemplating what video game inspired outfits I should wear.
This week’s outfit is heavily inspired by the character Chell from the game Portal. Featuring both licensed and handmade items, it’s the perfect outfit for a convention or a warm summer day!
