Every now and again we’d like to share items we happen to find during shopping excursions, so here’s the first! As I mention in our About page, I love to shop, and last week was no exception – I came across some great finds at Walmart, Target, and Hot Topic.
As long as there have been geek guys around, there have been geek girls, but it’s taken a long time, a lot of work, and a lot of voices from the geek girl community for them to finally get noticed when it comes to merchandise. Welcome, Her Universe. The first, but hopefully not the last, of its kind, Her Universe is a company started and run by a geek girl, whose passion is to make merchandise geek girls WANT. And it’s been a resounding success since it’s launch in 2010.
Since today is the launch of our blog, what better way to celebrate than to focus on something big and geeky happening this weekend, The Avengers! What’s been great about this movie is that there has been a huge increase of Marvel related merchandise, so I figured why not feature a few of my favorites that I’ve come across. In addition, at the bottom of this post you’ll find my Avengers inspired outfit that features some DIY projects that I plan on posting tutorials of next week. So without further ado:
I actually picked this shirt up at Old Navy last week. I love the vintage look along with the soft fabric it’s printed on.
