This past weekend we had the opportunity to attend the third annual Comikaze Expo. Since this con is relatively new, it means that there were many vendors that I don’t normally come across. The best part was how much great geeky stuff I stumbled upon.
Creators of my beloved 8bit necklace, they make some great laser cut jewelry.
They carried some great My Little Pony socks, My Little Pony earrings, and other various geeky jewelry.
Typically a staple at Southern California conventions, Castle Corsety had both a booth and was featured in a geek fashion show.
These glasses frames were pretty fantastic. They took vintage comics and integrated them into the frames themselves.
I had the opportunity to check out their cosmetics in person. I’m really impressed with the pigment. Not only that, I got a sneak peek of nail wraps that will be released in 2014. They’re pretty amazing!
Foxwise featured hand stamped jewelry with quotes from Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and more.
Even though they’re been around a few years, this was the first time I had ever come across Geeky U. They’re a family run business that makes everything by hand. I’ll definitely be shopping here in the future!
I had to stop and admire this amazing Loki necklace from Monogram International. Definitely a statement piece!
Elsa’s Creations
Who says we need to focus on grown up geeks all the time? These tiny dresses were super adorable.
Even though I was only able to go for a day, I was more than pleased to find so many great items. While geeky stuff is definitely more mainstream, it’s the fan made stuff that I tend to enjoy the most, and the show definitely showcased it well.
Anyone else have the opportunity to go? Don’t forget, our Nerdvember contest is in full swing. There’s still some time to qualify for the big prize too! We’re thoroughly enjoying all of your entries so far, and can’t wait to see what else you come up with for the rest of the month. You can always follow our progress on our Instagram too!
