This time of year, my social media pages are full of people trying to motivate themselves to be more fit and workout. Now, while I’m not fond of those inspiration images usually seen around Pinterest telling me what I should or shouldn’t do, I am fond of messages that get me a little more pumped up to go to the gym. Especially, when those messages are nerdy AND on workout clothes. Activate Apparel is a company I touched on back in this post, and since I’ve been seeing them pop up on friend’s pages, I figured checking out their new stuff would be worth a look.
When I saw The Avengers last year, I knew I had to put together a Hulk themed outfit. What can I say? I love a man in green.
Featuring a DIY top, ripped capris, and some fun accessories, this outfit is great for summer. And for smashing some buildings.
You may have noticed some irregularity to our posts recently, and part of that was due to me being Japan for the last week and a half to checkout the sites and cherry blossoms. Of course, I couldn’t pass by the opportunity to check out some of the geek chic items they had to offer while over there!
Today we have another tutorial for you involving over-sized t-shirts. After seeing The Avengers, I wanted to get my hands on some Hulk merchandise. Although, I couldn’t find anything like what I wanted, specifically fun tops, so I decided to make one for myself.
Since I started working on this blog, I’m constantly on the lookout for new items that become available that might be of interest to you guys. I decided to compile a list of things I’ve come across lately online. The great thing is it seems like more and more stores are carrying awesome geeky items, although not always in their brick and mortar locations. So snatch these up quickly since they might not be around for long!
When it comes to girly comic fashions, DC definitely has a corner on the market. There are a few companies that make my inner Marvel geek happy though, and one I’ve definitely thrown my money at more than once is Tokidoki. Originally known for their cutesy mascots which adorned purses, they’ve expanded to include clothing, jewelry and best of all, MARVEL.
I’m on Etsy quite often, as I’m sure some of you are as well. But as there’s sometimes an endless amount of wonderful handmade items on there, there’s always going to be some fantastic find you’ll miss. Oh no! With our Etsy Picks of the Week, we’re sharing some of the coolest items we’ve come across so hopefully you wont miss out on the good stuff.
I’m still riding high on the fun of the Avengers movie, so this week’s picks from Etsy are all Avengers/Marvel related. Clicking on the product image will open up that item’s sale page in a new window. Clicking on the seller’s name will open up their main store page in a new window.
