Over the years May the Fourth has gone from a little known unofficial holiday celebrated by only the most hardcore of Star Wars fans, to a commercially known Star Wars extravaganza. Holidays or anniversaries of any kind automatically mean special deals from companies, and this year is the best we’ve ever seen for various Star Wars awesomeness!

We’re not sure about the rest of you, but at least for Lindz and I, the highlight and focus for WonderCon this past weekend was checking out the Her Universe panel to get the latest details on this year’s Fashion Show, as well as get exclusive sneak peeks at their new Marvel line. It was a panel that far exceeded our wildest expectations and we’re here to spill the details!
WonderCon is finally here! Lindz and I are looking forward to the chic geek outfits we’re sure to find some of your wearing over the weekend, and of fashionable merchandise to be found in the dealer’s hall. What we’re most excited about though, are the geek fashion related panels occurring over the weekend, and we’re sure you are too! Everything is coming up glass slippers! Disney has pulled out all the stops to collaborated with some great companies to release an abundance of unique Cinderella merchandise. Ranging from two unique clothing collections, to make-up and nails, and even designer shoes, there’s no shortage of great items to satiate any Cinderella fan.

Tomorrow is the premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Like with past Hunger Games movies, I was eagerly anticipating what new merchandise would be in store for fans of Panem. In previous years, we’ve seen custom nail polishes, makeup, and even couture clothing collections inspired by the films. Unfortunately, it looks as if we won’t be seeing any of those things this year. My guess is the content of these next two movies isn’t exactly conducive to fashion from the Capitol. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t show off your support of the rebellion with the merchandise below.
There’s something to be said about the fact that I’m currently writing this post during a heat wave in Southern California. However, for the rest of you, fall weather is right around the corner. For this post, we’re putting together some great geeky finds that you can incorporate into your wardrobe as the weather cools.
Earlier this year, Hot Topic surprised us with releasing their first designer fashion line inspired by the film Maleficent. Luckily, it wasn’t was their last. This week they released a new collection inspired by the upcoming film The Book of Life. In contrast with the last collection which primarily featured black, this one is filled with bright and colorful skirts, jewelery, and more.
When it comes to animated films, there’s just something about Studio Ghibli films that really capture that sense of magic and wonder. From the stunningly beautiful visuals to the fantastical stories, these films have won the hearts of many. One thing that was missing was the ability to wear this beautiful art. However, thanks to the efforts of Her Universe and Hot Topic, we can now enjoy a new clothing collection!
