It’s been awhile since we’ve posted about new geeky licensed fabrics, ranging from Disney designs to some great female DC heroes, we’ve rounded up some great new designs that are sure to wow in all your DIY creations.
August marked the beginning of a new chapter in the Doctor Who universe, and although we had to say goodbye to Matt Smith we also got to say hello to a new Doctor. In honor of Peter Capaldi taking the reigns, we’ve put together a list of some great Doctor Who items ranging from clothing to kitchenware.
Earlier this year, Hot Topic surprised us with releasing their first designer fashion line inspired by the film Maleficent. Luckily, it wasn’t was their last. This week they released a new collection inspired by the upcoming film The Book of Life. In contrast with the last collection which primarily featured black, this one is filled with bright and colorful skirts, jewelery, and more.
Earlier today, we featured licensed Star Trek merchandise in celebration of the 48th anniversary of the show. However, if it wasn’t for fan made items, I don’t think we’d have nearly the amount of great licensed items to choose from. So to show our love, here’s a selection of great items you can find on Etsy.
This week marked 48 years of boldly going where no man has gone before. To celebrate, we decided to round up both licensed and fan made items that pay tribute to the beloved sci-fi series, Star Trek.
When it comes to animated films, there’s just something about Studio Ghibli films that really capture that sense of magic and wonder. From the stunningly beautiful visuals to the fantastical stories, these films have won the hearts of many. One thing that was missing was the ability to wear this beautiful art. However, thanks to the efforts of Her Universe and Hot Topic, we can now enjoy a new clothing collection!
Around here, we’re big fans of Espionage Cosmetics, especially their nail wraps. Last year they launched a highly successful Kickstarter campaign to create geeky nail wraps inspired by Tetris, Dr. Who, Star Trek, and more. Well, they’re not done yet! Today is the start of their new Kickstarter Campaign Nailed It: But Wait There’s Moar!
One of my favorite parts of SDCC, other than the fashion show, is checking out new geek merchandise. Many of my favorite places to buy from are often online sources, so being able to see what everything looks like in person is always a treat. I hit the floor on Friday and Saturday on the look out for anything geek chic to wear or for the home.
